For the last couple of years Arcade lane has opened it's gates during the Adelaide Fringe for a month of good times. Fourwords hosted two excessively fun parties in the pop-up venue last year and just couldn't say no to doing it again in 2012!
This year Fourwords will be showcasing four awesome bands, plenty of party DJs, delicious catering and live artists going nuts up and down the atmospheric alleyway. There will also be film, projection art and photography to feast your eyes on.
Cut Chemist has been recording and performing since the 80s, starting out with his friends including Chali 2na (Jurassic 5). Cut first became known as a founding member of both the rap group Jurassic 5 and the Grammy award winning Latin funk outfit, Ozomatli. Don't miss this chance to see him live for just $25 in Adelaide!
The return of the UK’s Slow Club to Australia in February 2012 is without doubt set to be one of the musical highlights of the summer.
Rebecca Taylor and Charles Watson have been friends and partners in rock for almost ten year. Their first full-length album Yeah, So was a musical gem with Pitchfork describing how the “Sheffield boy-girl duo nail precious, vulnerable feelings over the course of their sweet
(but not twee or saccharine) indie pop debut”.
This year, Slow Club released Paradise an album both swooning and raucous – a take on doo-wop with a frazzled, fragile representation of soul inspired rock. Paradise is certainly a product of a band whose members divide their obsessions between Destiny’s Child and Noise-pop. And Slow Club live is as much of a delight as is Slow Club on record.
We implore you, do not miss Slow Club when they return to Australia this summer.
Every year Arcade Lane (located just off Grenfell Street) is transformed into an Adelaide Fringe venue and this year Five Four Entertainment are taking it over for one night to celebrate Arcade Lane's opening weekend! This venue is only open for a few weeks during the year so make sure you don't miss out!
Neon Indian's debut album Psychic Chasms and brilliant 2011 follow up Era Extraña formed an exciting new genre called chilllwave. Which combines elements of 80s retro music, ambient sound and modern pop. Expect their debut Adelaide performance to be one of the most exciting musical experiences of the Fringe!
Come down and support the Belle-Phonics at their first ever show at Casablabla! It all starts at 10:30 and is going to be a huge one. A jam packed hour with soulful vocals, hard-hitting drums, wailing solos, funky guitar and the tightest horns. This will be a show not to miss! Invite all your friends and come to dance your way into the weekend!!
The team at Fourwords presents Rhino Room's 6th ok,soda, a monthly band night organised by the local live music fans over at f o u r w o r d s . | the movement.

C ME RAP aint serious about life. Its just a party.
...
A hip hop karaoke party in fact, featuring all your favourite Hip Hop and R&B joints to either get down with on the dance floor or to get on stage after a few drinks and immortalise.
The night consists of two karaoke sessions (11pm – 1am & 3am – 5am) and two DJ/Club sessions (9pm-11pm & 1am – 3am) with resident DJ’s Ferris Mular, Japeye and Big Bubba.
Hosted by MC Whiskers, C ME RAP gives you the opportunity to perform your favourite Hip Hop / R&B burners as a solo, duet or a group effort.
For example, you can rip a solo performance to a Snoop Dogg joint, get romantic with a ODB / Mariah Carey duet or rock a posse cut with all ya buddies. Recommended for the less confident.
If you’ve ever wondered what the universe sounds like, here is your chance. Canadian Baroque Orchestra, Tafelmusik will take you on an epic space odyssey, performing exquisite period music from memory before stunning images from the Hubble Space Telescope.
